Gilda Mae Miller

(1933-2010)

(Church Built in India)

Gilda Mae Miller was born on August 19th 1933 in Rainelle WVA to Jason & Mary Bonner.

She was married to Fred O’Brian and they had a daughter Luanna Lee born on June 26th, 1954.  She worked as a telephone operator for a while than at the Green Briar Drug Store in Ronceverte (Rons-vert), WVA.

She was later re-married to Jack Miller on April 20 1967.  Shortly after they got married they moved to Northern Virginia.  They settled in Dale City in December of 1968.  They were married for 38 years until Jack pasted away in January 2005.  During those years she worked as a cosmetologist for Meral Norman.  She retired in 2000 and devoted herself to loving her family full-time.

Shortly after her husband of almost 40 years passed away she moved to here to Fredericksburg VA.

If you knew Gilda you knew she was active.  She would not tell us her age so I really thought she was in her 60’s.  She was more active than, most people in their 50’s.
Also, if you knew Gilda you also knew she was a giver.  A giver of money, of things, of her time and her love.  She was always there at baseball games, births, weddings, graduations, birthday parties, and other important events…  She always made herself available to spend time with her daughter, granddaughters and grand kids.

During Christmas she would thoughtfully do her best to find the gift you really wanted so that you would have a Merry Christmas and a joyful birthday.  She loved to take her time and money and get nice gifts for those she loved.  I suppose she spent a lot of time at stores thoughtfully searching for just the right gifts.

She’s given her family members many cars and expensive gifts.  Gilda was a giver and lover of her friends and family.  She had many friends and loved to socialize.

She leaves behind her brother’s Ralph & James Bonner, her daughter Luana Brookman, and Luana’s husband Marty her two granddaughter’s Stacy Anderson & Christina Osburn and their husbands me and Dante.  Also 7 grandkids with one on the way and many, many other family and friends.

On Thursday night May 13th she suffered a massive stroke and went on to be with the Lord the following Monday morning May 17th 2010.
She will be remembered for the things she gave but even more so she will be remembered for the love behind the gifts.  No one can ever replace Gilda Miller from the lives of those who know her.  She will be greatly missed.
